Seventeen again! That is one of my best movies. Welcome to the 17th day of the 2026 World Cup. Out of Hanover and Philly, back to New Jersey, yesterday served us goals.

First in Group I, Mbappe failed to score as France finished top of the group thanks to a 4-1 win over Norway. It was a weakened line up from Norway which didn’t change their position. Ousmane Dembele got a hattrick. Senegal whitewashed 10-man Iraq 5-0 to boost their chance of reaching the knockout phase. Pape Gueye got a brace. It is the biggest scoreline for an African side.

Spain defeated Uruguay 1-0 finishing top of group H while Cabo Verde made it 3 draws in 3 games, nicking the 2nd spot. They are the smallest nation to ever reach the knockout phase of the World Cup. Belgium beat New Zealand 5-1 with a brace from Leandro Trossard. He has been their best player in the World Cup so far. The win ensured Belgium finished top of group G ahead of Egypt who drew 1-1 with Iran.

Today, it is Panama vs England (New Jersey) and Croatia vs Ghana (Philadelphia) in group L. Ghana need a point, Croatia need all 3 points to finish top 2. For group K, it is Colombia vs Portugal, Congo DR vs Uzbekistan.

The last group matches of the 2026 World Cup will take place in group J. Jordan play Argentina while Algeria play Austria. We now know nine Round of 32 knock-out games. We would know the remaining by today.

🇩🇪 Germany vs. Paraguay 🇵🇾
🇫🇷 France vs. Sweden 🇸🇪
🇿🇦 South Africa vs. Canada 🇨🇦
🇳🇱 Netherlands vs. Morocco 🇲🇦
🇺🇸 United States vs. Bosnia 🇧🇦
🇧🇷 Brazil vs. Japan 🇯🇵
🇨🇮 Ivory Coast vs. Norway 🇳🇴

🇪🇬 Egypt vs. Australia 🇦🇺

My predictions: Panama 0-2 England, Croatia 0-0 Ghana, Colombia 1-3 Portugal, Congo DR 2-0 Uzbekistan, Jordan 0-4 Argentina, Algeria 1-1 Austria.

Enjoy today’s games.
