When the season began last summer, different permutations and combinations were made. Pundits pondered and made predictions.

On the 16th day of August, the best soap opera in the world entered another season with Arsenal starting on a wrong foot.

The gunners will letter get their feet, purchased Mesut Ozil, staying top of the table for about 120 days. But their inactivity in the January window coupled with injuries to Walcott and Ramsey doomed them to be drawn into the battle to be in top4.

The top 4 sides took turns sitting on the iron throne but with the final game approaching, it is all for Manchester City to lose. The Citizens will need just a draw at home against visiting Westham unless Liverpool wins Newcastle by a margin of 14 goals. Impossible? Liverpool’s search for more goals gifted Crystal Palace a point some days ago.

As for the gunners, no result will affect them as they are 7 pts ahead of 5th place Everton and 3pts and 18 goals behind Chelsea.  The gunners will have one eye at the FA cup Final a week later but will want to continue their positive momentum.

Arsenal will travel to Norwich who are destined for the drop. Norwich will need to beat the gunners by 18 unreplied goals hoping that Westbrom lose to Stoke city. Possible? Not on earth.

Szczesny will need a clean sheet to get his golden gloves. So no premier league appearance is expected for Fabianski or Viviano. The latter only featured for the Arsenal reserve and this would have been a good chance for him to feature.

I expect Jenkinson to play instead of Sagna who is poised to leave. This should keep the frenchman fitter for the FA cup. Koscielny, Arteta, Ramsey and Giroud may also be rested.

My weird lineup will include: Szczesny, Monreal, Vermaelen, Metersacker, Jenkinson, Diaby, Kallstrom, Zelalem, Gnabry, Akpom and Bendtner. Subs: Viviano, Sagna, Koscielny, Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla and Sanago.
