Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice as Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over a dogged Crystal Palace side at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

After an unproductive first half, the 20-year-old struck two minutes into the second period to break the deadlock. Cazorla did a great job in dinking a pass to him in the Palace box.
The England international, starting his 1st premier League since the opening game, added a second 17 minutes from time to wrap up 3 points for the gunners: his first goals since the 7-3 thrashing of Newcastle just after Christmas in 2012.
Arsenal’s elevation maybe be temporary given that second-place Manchester City play on Monday evening. However, Manuel Pellegrini’s side entertain Chelsea, in third, and this will have added to the pressure on both sides.
Clean Sheets
Szczesny got another clean sheet at the emirates thanks to his point blank save from Jerome’s header. His defense was water tight: Metersacker intercepting, Koscienly tackling and running. Chamakh was squeezed as much as possible with the ox and arteta locking the midfield.
Who is next?
It all started with Ramsey and then Ozil. The burden shifted to Walcott before Wilshere. Cazorla has grabbed the headlines for the last 3 games and the ox has taken the limelight. Arsenal have moved on as a team defying all injury odds to grind out 3 points. Who will bear the burden next? Rosicky, Arteta or Giroud?
3 points to the gunners, another customary 2-0 victory. Hope the Etihad battle favours the gunners
Arsenal’s performance for the last couple of weeks are promising. They played very well and unbeatable, no wonder they are now on the top spot. Can’t wait for week 25, I bet it’ll be more and more intense.

The intensity increases by the games. I believe they will be on top by week 38.
