After all the rumours, leaks et al, it is official:
Granit Xhaka is a Gunner
Granit Xhaka became Arsenal’s first signing of the summer. The Swiss international joined Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach and signed a long term contract for an undisclosed fee. That shouldn’t surprise you. Arsenal rarely disclose fees.
The 23 year old has 42 senior international appearances for Switzerland and have 6 goals to his name. Nicknamed Little Einstein, Xhaka is seen as a midfield reinforcement with the exit of Arteta, Rosicky and most likely Flamini. The Swiss has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League and his respect for Wenger. Check out his first interview with the club.
Meanwhile, Benitez will remain at Newcastle, Manchester United are fighting over the rights to Mourinho’s name, Heartland is out of the Federation Cup and Giwa FC – never mind.
Join me as i sing… Jamina mina!! eh eh!!! Xhaka Xhaka!!! Eh eh!!
Next worry – Will Coquelin give him his 34? What does 34 mean to Xhaka?
I hear the name is pronounced “Jaka”.
Grind it Jaka.
Who is next?
