First, we wish you a prosperous New Year from the blog. We hope that results would favour our beloved Arsenal and our dear Nigeria. Welcome to 2017.
Arsenal’s 2017 begins with the last match of Game Week 19 of the 2016/17 Premier League season and Crystal Palace visits the Emirates with their new coach – Sam Allardyce. Big Sam had a stinct with the national team after their ouster in the Euros. He managed just one game before he got his hands in some dirty dealings and had to part ways with the Three Lions.
We knew he wouldn’t stay long without a job but at the sacking of Alan Pardew made way for the chewing gum loving Sam. He is Big Sam. Arsenal care less and needs all three points. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United got three points yesterday, the Gunners will not love to be left behind.
Wenger has Mustafi back in contention. Does that guarantee victory? The German have never been involved in a lost game for Arsenal. Welbeck is back to training but may start from the bench or be left out entirely. Olivier Giroud should start again and a goal would be welcomed.
Would Wenger tweak his team to start Lucas Perez? Will Alexis give us a new year present? Has Ozil lost his magic to provide assists? Can we just have a clean sheet? Will Walcot make the team? Xhaka!!!!
5pm Nigerian time.
Cheers
