Arsenal kept their hopes of FA Cup glory with a ruthless 5-0 victory over non-league Lincoln City FC. After an excruciating 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, 5 goals were scores at the Emirates in favour of Arsenal.
The giant-killing heriocs of Lincoln City were snuffed off at the Emirates but it took the Gunners over 45 minutes to break through with the first goal. Walcott grabbed his 17th goal of the season just before the break.
Any hope of a comeback for Lincoln were snuffed off after a well worked goal involving Bellerin and buried in by Giroud in the 53rd minute. Sanchez forced an own goal in the 58th minute before adding his name to the score sheet in the 72nd minute. Ramsey even had to stroll into the net for Arsenal’s 5th in the 75th minute.
A 5-0 victory is a good response to that 10-2 aggregate bashing at the hands of Bayern Munich. Westbrom is next in the Premier League. Hopefully the wins continue. For now, we can rejoice with a semifinal place in the FA Cup. Wembley, here we come.
Time for Thanksgiving service.
