Arsenal fans have been laughing at Liverpool’s and former Gooner Oxlade-Chamberlain’s switch to the Anfield and fans had more to cackle over following the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Newcastle United.
After the 4-0 victory over Arsenal at the end of August, which just so happened to be the England international’s last appearance for the club, Liverpool appeared to be genuine title contenders.
However, the Anfield giants form has taken a turn for the worst following the £40m man’s move.
Liverpool were beaten 5-0 at Manchester City, drew 2-2 with Sevilla and 1-1 with Burnley. Jurgen Klopp’s men then lost 2-0 to Leicester City, before beating the Foxes 3-2 in the Premier League.
This weekend saw the Reds come up shot again as they played 1-1 with Rafael Benitez’s men.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s late cameos have been poor. The England midfielder headed over the bar from 8 yards out against Newcastle and the Reds supporters are now questioning whether their club should have signed him. Klopp was spotted with his head in his hands while Arsenal fans have had a few laughs on what’s going to at the Anfield.
