Henry Onyekuru, Francis Uzoho and Chidiebere Nwakali are amongst 24 players invited by Super Eagles’ coach Gernot Rohr to face Algeria in the last match of the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Algiers and a friendly against Argentina in Russia.

Nigeria were the first African team to qualify to the 2018 World Cup after a 1-0 win against Zambia in their last game. The Super Eagles now have the luxury of giving opportunities to “fringe” players as the fight for tickets to Russia continues.

RSC Anderlecht’s Henry Onyekuru is in fine form for the Belgians and would hope to make a competitive debut for the two time African Champions. There are first invitations for Depertivo La Coruna goalie Francis Uzoho and Sogndal midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali.
