School quizzes are usually graded over ten and there is a sense of accomplishment when you score 10/10. Arsenal matched on to a 10th consecutive win on Monday in celebration of Wenger’s birthday.

Mesut Ozil was on fire as Arsenal defeated Leicester City 3-1 at the Emirates. The Gunners’ no. 10 was in blistering form with a goal, an assist and a pre-assist.

Bellerin’s own goal was a rude shock to the Emirates and a threat to this glorious 10th win. The young Spanaird redeemed himself with the first half, providing an assist for Ozil to equalize.

Emery’s side was short of left backs. Monreal and Kolasinac had injury concerns. Stephan Lichtsteiner deputized at left back for most of the game before Xhaka covered up till the game ended.

The goals were beautiful. Beautiful team goals. Ozil found Bellerin through a pile of Foxes before Bellerin found Aubameyang for Arsenal’s second. The defender now have 4 assists this season.

Aubameyang’s second was more glorious. It started up from Leno before Ozil’s dummy and assist required a mere tap-in for the Gabonese. Iwobi was a beauty too. He went home with the Man of the Match award and a nutmeg for dinner.

The Gunners are just 2 points away from the top. Only 2 points seperate the top from the 5th. It will be a long battle.

Sporting is next on Thursday.
