Good ebening and welcome to a new season. It is the fourteenth day of the new season and Unai Emery begins his second season with the Arsenal.

The sour taste of last season is still on our taste buds and the new season doesn’t propagate any hope of a positive change yet. The new Adidas kits are lovely. It seems like the only positive Arsenal news now for the season. It would have been lovely to back to the champions league with the Adidas kit but never mind. We blew the final opportunity in Baku.

The coffers don’t look good with Arsenal pricing players like crayfish in Oyingbo Market in Lagos. The Gunners have not shown any aggressiveness in the transfer market to land their target – from Tierny to Zaha to Saliba et al. I hate the transfer windows.

To help with the Arsenal’s laidback approach to the transfer winner, let us focus on other matters. Edu joined from Brazil, Ljunberg is with the first team, Ospina left to Napoli, Arsenal signed Martileni, few youngsters promoted to the senior team and Iwobi doing the Lord’s work in Egypt.

The senior team is back and off to the US on tour. Koscielny refused to join for reasons best known to the captain and Arsenal. A selected XI side drew 3-3 with Boreham Wood and the preseason is on.

Will Arsenal sign a defender, a winger and a midfielder? Will the newly promoted youngsters impress Emery and Freddie in the preseason. Will Arsenal challenge for titles this season?

The season begins soonest. For now we standby and see how the preseason plays out.
