Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 50th goal for Arsenal was not enough as Arsenal let go of a 1-0 lead to share points at the Emirates against Wolves. Raul Jimenez’s header in the 76th minute ensured Arsenal failed to keep a clean sheet in their 5th consecutive game.

Five goals shipped in the Carabao Cup at Anfield, the Gunners are now synonymous with letting leads slip by. They let a 2-0 lead disappear last time at the Emirates against visiting Crystal Palace which was marred by the Xhaka incident. Today, Jimenez’s equalizer increased the tension and frustration at the Emirates.

With Xhaka left out of the team, Aubameyang led the team. Ozil and Torreira started with Pepe benched.

The pressure is building up against Unai Emery. His tactics and substitutions are unusual and questionable. His press conferences do not offer any hope but satisfaction in the way things are going. This is not the Arsenal we want. Do you understand the Saka-Torreira sub or the Kolasinac-Tierney Sub? Pepe didn’t feature?

Wolves had more shots (25) than Arsenal (10) at the Emirates. The visitors had 8 shots on target compared to Arsenal’s 4 shots despite having Aubameyang and Lacazette up front. The boos were up with the final whistle

The Arsenal management must take a decision as soon as possible before this season becomes irredeemable. The Gunners have won just two of their last nine Premier League matches and currently sit at 5th spot with 17 points, 14 points behind leaders Liverpool and 3 points behind Leicester City who have a game on Sunday.  Arsenal have won just 6 of their last 18 Premier League games. Poor by Arsenal standards.

Arsenal have quality players but somehow find it difficult to win games or hold on to leads. This is not the Arsenal we know. The game is not even beautiful anymore.

Good night.
