Harry Maguire’s injury is the only major fitness problem for Manchester United heading into tonight’s meeting with Liverpool.

United beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park on Sunday to kickstart the run with a win, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – who was furious with the Premier League’s scheduling – made 10 changes for Tuesday’s home game against Leicester City.

Solskjaer named virtually a second-string XI featuring the likes of Amad Diallo, Anthony Elanga and Donny van de Beek, and Leicester left Old Trafford with a 2-1 win.

The upside to that result is that Solskjaer was able to rest near enough his whole starting lineup before the Liverpool game, meaning there will be wholesale changes again.

Dean Henderson will return in goal, as will Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw at wing-back – though Maguire is definitely out with ankle ligament damage.

With Victor Lindelof likely to return at centre-back, Solskjaer must pick either Eric Bailly or Axel Tuanzebe to partner him – and while the latter fared better against Leicester, Bailly should get the nod.

In midfield, Fred and Scott McTominay will come back in, while Paul Pogba (who is 7/1 on bet365 with best high roller online casino is to find the back of the net), Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani are likely to start.

The key decision in attack will be whether Solskjaer opts for Mason Greenwood or Marcus Rashford on the right flank. Greenwood is in far better form, and the fact that he came off with time to spare against Leicester suggests that was a substitution to save him for this game.

As for injuries, Maguire joins Dan James, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones on the sidelines.
