Following recent injuries to Thomas Partey and Mohammed El Neny, Arsenal made deadline day attempts to get Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa but the deal didn’t materialize. Arteta would be depending on the medical team to ensure the injured players return soonest.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad summer for the Gunners. The addition of Jesus & Zinchenko from Manchester City was a steal.
