The streets of North London were in celebratory mood with over 1.5 million Arsenal fans cheering the team as the Gunners paraded, ending the 2025/26 season. The atmosphere was positive, the male and female team were celebrating, the fans from all over the world were having the time of their lives.

Twenty two years after the Invincibles lifted the Premier League title, Arteta’s Arsenal were crowned champions of England, edging out Manchester City in a nail-biting finish. City had the edge few matches to the end of the season, but the Gunners maintained course as City flattered against Everton (3-3) and Bournemouth (1-1) to hand the trophy to Arsenal.
After the full round of 38 matches, Arsenal finished with 85 points – 7 more than Manchester City in 2nd spot. Same City that were ahead by goal difference by Game Week 34 – who would have believed that they would finish that far away from Arsenal. Pep’s final game for city was a 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa. It didn’t take out the shine from a man who had won 20 trophies for the blue half of Manchester in 10 years.
It was almost a double – save for the last kick at Budapest. Arsenal had a perfect run in the Champions League and remained unbeaten till the end. The final against PSG ended 1-1 after extra time and needed the lottery of penalties for PSG to emerge champions again. It was a sad day but not enough to override the joy of winning the premier league.

Disappointments of the season
– Losing the UCL final with the last kick of the game
– Losing to Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City in the PL
– Failure to score against Liverpool while others scored
– Injury to Jurien Timber
– Carabao Cup final defeat to City
High Points of the season
– Winning the Premier League
– North London Derby wins
– Victory over Newcastle home & away
– David Raya’s saves – especially against West Ham
– Getting to 2 cup finals
From being called Corner Kings to emphasis on own goals toping the goal scoring chart, Arsenal overcame all the narrative, ensuring discipline and approaching every game pragmatically. The Gunners were the only team that didn’t receive a red card nor did they concede a penalty this season in the Premier League – 1st time this is happening. That is not down to chance.
Thank you David Raya for the saves, for the clean sheets – 19 of them in the league and Golden Glove for the 3rd consecutive season. Thank you Kepa for the FA Cup and League Cup runs. Tommy Setford also made an appearance in the cup.
Big Gabi was massive – scoring decisive headers and making timely blocks. Saliba was graceful as always, partnering Gabriel in a water-tight defense. Timber was a rock – never dribbled past in the Champions League. White kept his cool – holding fort in Timber’s absence. Shame about the injuries to our right backs. Hincapie was a rock – solid in defense. Calafiori’s scorpion block is still fresh, he adds a flair to Arsenal’s attack. Young Mosquera put in a good shift as well.
Rice Rice baby covered every blade of grass. Hopefully he wins the PFA Player of the year. He, Gabriel & Raya were the only Gunners in the UEFA team of the season. Zubimendi had his moments – goal of the season contenders. Myles was late to the party, yet he showed us why he is part of the team. Thank you Eze for the goals against Tottenham. Mikel Merino was instrumental against Newcastle. Thank you Captain Odegaard for Westham.

Thank you Star boy Saka – the club’s symbol on and off the pitch. His deputy, Noni did his part – scoring an olympico and the final goal of our Premier League season. On the left, Trossard was clutch. His goal against West Ham is still fresh. Martinelli started our UCL highlights – scoring for fun. Thanks Kai Havertz for the UCL final goal, for the headers and winners. Viktor Gyokeres scored over 20 goals in his first season for us – impressive. More expected in the coming season.
Thank you Mikel Arteta and the coaching staff. We go again next season.
Let’s enjoy the World Cup – United 2026
