The 13th day of the 2026 FIFA World Cup began with Portugal’s 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. Cristiano Ronaldo got his first set of goals in this edition of the World Cup, becoming the 1st player to score in 6 editions of the tournament.

It would have been a dent to his GOAT-ship if he could not score against lowly rated Uzbekistan. The win move Portugal to 2nd spot behind Colombia who defeated Congo DR 1-0 in the last game of the day.
Congo DR would need to get 3 points and as many goals from Uzbekistan, if they are to progress from Group K. In group L, it was a low scoring day. Ghana held England to a 0-0 draw while Croatia pipped Panama 1-0.

The England game had some controversies. Spurs defender Djed Spence was the only England player that didn’t shake hands with Ghana’s Thomas Partey. The English FA and press have been on this shake hands discussion. Spence took the limelight to act on it.
Ghana was denied a penalty within the game, it was ruled as offside. Jude Bellingham was named man of the match. Jude says he didn’t deserve the award and should be given to a Ghanaian.

At the end of 2nd group matches, eight teams have progressed to the Round of 32: Mexico, USA, Germany, Argentina, France, Norway, Colombia and Brazil. Five teams have been knocked out of the competition: Haiti, Turkey, Tunisia, Jordan and Panama.
Today, we would witness the last group matches of Group A, B and C. Switzerland & Canada play for who wins group C. Bosnia & Ghana are fighting to get one of the best 3rd spots.
In group B, Brazil need a win over Scotland to finish top of the group. Morocco play Haiti. In Group A, South Africa would be hoping for a miracle against South Korea while Mexico play Czech.
Predictions: Switzerland 1-1 Canada, Bosnia 1-2 Qatar, Scotland 0-3 Brazil, Morocco 3-0 Haiti, South Africa 1-3 Korea, Czech 1-1 Mexico.
