After the 7 goals rain in Jakarta, the Arsenal crossed over to Veitnam and the running man added spice to the arrival and stay in the Asian Nation.
While the running man ran, the team cheered and urged wenger to sign him up. He eventually became a star in Veitnam to lead the Veitnam side to the slaughter slab at their My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi.
according to arsenal.com: “A first-half hat-trick from Olivier Giroud propelled Arsenal to their second victory of the Asia Tour at the expense of Vietnam’s national side.
Giroud struck twice in Jakarta on Sunday and he took his tally to five in just 65 minutes with three more expertly-taken goals – a fifth-minute opener and two just before the break. The goals continued to flow once the Frenchman had departed, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain curling in a sumptuous effort from distance and Chuba Akpom adding a brace before the hour mark.
Ignasi Miquel got in on the act before a rapturously-received consolation for Vietnam, scored by substitute Tran Manh Dung.”
So Oliver Giroud added to his double at Jakarta within 45 minutes to increase his Asia Tour tally to 5 goals in 65 playing minutes. Chuba Akpom continued with a well taken brace and it was great to Miguel getting on the scorers chart.
The youngsters were great: Eisfeld, Zelealem, Akpom, Gnabry et al. Did you see Zelalem? That guy is good. the Capital One cup would be fun to watch with all these youngsters doing great at the Asia Tour.
I was impressed with my best arsenal player, Thomas Rosicky. that ding of a pass to Giroud for his opener was unique. I hope he keeps fit for the campaign. He has always been pivotal to our late runs in the end of the season. it would be great to see him fit for a full season, spear heading the midfield alongside or in-place of cazorla.
Vietnam’s goal was greeted with a loud uproar as if they have won the FIFA worldcup. the noise reminded me of the Tahitian goal against Nigeria in the FIFA confederations cup in Brazil. Dung wont forget that goal in hurry. Martinez would feel bad to concede Arsenal’s first goal of the Tour.
Finally, with Giroud on fire, even if it as against lesser opponent, and Chuba Akpom firing on his cylinders, hope Le Prof wont relax on his bid to sign one of Suarez or Higuan? With the Worldbest Nik back to training in London and Ferdinard getting a work permit, what would be their fate? If the media gurus are right, then dont be surprised that we wont get any of Suarez or Higuan
I wouldnt want such situation. But if it comes to that, we have to make do with what we have.
I am enjoying this tour, especially for the goals, the experiments and the youngsters performing. watch out for the rise of Chuba Akpom.
let’s go to Japan and get another 7 goals or more.
