The transfer window finally came to and end on Sept 2, a day after the win over Spurs with the acquisation of Mesut Ozil being the greatest news for Arsenal in a long while. The gunners also brought in Yaya Sanago and Matheu Flamini for free before swapping Viviano on loan to bolster the squad for the season.
I am still basking in the Ozilosphere despite the all important FIFA worldcup qualifiers around the globe. From Calabar to Lima, Nations are fighting out to be among the 32 to showcase in the Rio 2014. Nigeria, my fatherland would need to avoid a defeat to Malawi to have a chance to qualifier. That should be a simple task for the Super Eagles as they now have Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike. A 4-0 victory would be appreciated by Nigerians worldwide.
The probability that i would be chanced to watch and blog about Arsenal and Nigeria is dwindling by the hours as the day draws closer. I am scheduled for a remote operation that may rob me off the sport i love so much. Nevertheless, I have previewed the Arsenal games for the month with the hope of being back before the next month.
The gunners would seemingly debut their record signing at the Stadium of Light. Mesut Ozil would most likely start his Premier League career on that bad pitch at Sunderland. Irrespective of the nature of the pitch, the gunners would need to continue their rich form and see of Sunderland. I envisage a 2-0 win with Oiver Giroud to score as usual.
Arsenal next begins their UEFA Champions League group phase campaign as they travel to Marseille. The last time the gunners visited, Aaron Ramsey scored a late winner. I am looking forward to Ramsey having a good UEFA Champions League match. a 3-1 win would be appreciated.
An Rugby encounter with Stoke City at the emirates followed by the Capital One Cup encounter away at WestBrom before being visitors to Swansea. Stoke may be difficult, but we must make our home a fortress. Yaya Sanago and sons should see off Westbrom. I expect Bendtner to show us what he is made off there too.
Swansea may be tough with Michu being their toast. but we have “The GodZilla” that would terrorize any team. i need whitewash and a payback to their win at emirates last season.
in all 5 games, I expect 5 wins a nd no draw
