Arsenal continued their superb start to the season as they laboured hard to defeat Norwich 4-1 at the emirates. Jack Wilshere, Mesut ozil (2) and Aaron Ramsey were the goal scorers.

Goal of The Season?

Jack Wilshere’s opener was a near perfect team goal. Intricate passing between Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Santi Cazorla and then a beautiful exchange and best flick contest with Olivier Giroud. All finished off with a beautiful, neat, right foot volley from Wilshere.

wilshere goal

According to Wenger

It was certainly one of the best [Arsenal] goals, one that I enjoyed the most as well because it was a team goal. It had combinations and the speed which you always like your team to play with, unfortunately it doesn’t happen always. This one was a mixture of technical quality, speedy thinking, quick reaction and as well being calm in front of goal. It had nearly everything you want to have, combined speed and calm and relaxed attitude. It was a great goal. I think we have scored some good goals this season already. All the goals were great, but the first was exceptional because it was improvised, combination play.

I cant just stop watching that goal over and over again. would this be the goal of the season? is it better than Ibrahimovic’s goal against England late last year in a friendly that is poised to win FIFA’s goal of the year? I wait to see the outcome.

All of Arsenal goals were clean and one-touchy. I hear a commentator in the Spanish La Liga was comparing Barcelona’s play in their goalless draw with Osasuna with that of Arsenal. Is Arsenal the new standard?

Flamini the Juggernaut Piece.

Many attributed Wenger’s signing of Flamini as shrewd and berated him for failing to sign a renowned DMF. Today the returnee frenchman is now an important piece in the Arsenal set-up. Since arriving, Flamini has not missed any game, save the League Cup win over Westbrom. Despite the return of Arteta, the manager has opted to axe other midfield personnel than the Flaming Flamini.

During the 4-1 drubbing, Flamini suffered a concussion after colliding with Tettey. The midfield felt open after he couldn’t continue to play due to double vision. It emphasizes how important Flamini has been for us since his recapture. He even wanted to play despite his state, what a zeal. Arsenal’s midfield now looks incomplete without Flamini. I wonder how Wenger would satisfy everybody. good head ache.

Ramsey Can’t Stop Scoring.

Aaron Ramsey didnt start but got on to register his name of the scorers sheet. The in-form EPL Player of the month is scoring at ease as if he is an AMF or even a striker. He now has 5 league goals and 8 in all competition for Arsenal this season.

I like the composure at which he took his goal against Norwich, sweeping three defenders on the floor before putting the ball past the goalie. The Old Ramsey may have fluffed that chance by either blasting at first chance over the bar or losing the ball to the opposition. Rambo is on Fire , watch out.

Ozil and Giroud Swap Roles

Olivier Giroud created two assists in the win: one for the super wilshere goal and the other a lovely cross that was nodded in by Mesut Ozil. Giroud has been involved in many of Arsenal goals and his Flicks are second to none. Ballorn D’Flick? He now tops the Assists table in the EPL with 4 assists followed by our Ozil.

Ozil is meant to be assisting as we seem to think, but the German took it a step further by scoring a brace for his first premier league goals and his first ever headed goal. 42 million pounds at work.

I truly hope to see Giroud win the Golden Ball this season.

No Clean Sheet

Arsenal fail to register a clean sheet for the umpteenth time in the league. The last time the gunners kept a clean sheet was the 1-0 win over Spurs at the emirates. In all competitions, Arsenal have kept only 4 clean sheet out of 13 games. 3 of which have come from the UCL with wins over Fenerbahce and Napoli.

I feel sad for Szczesny any time we concede. i need him to usurp Joe hart to claim the Golden Gloves. many of the goals conceded have not been the Pole’s fault. if we must keep the fire ablaze, we must learn to keep our sheets clean.

Bendtner Watch

I was glad to see the manager give Niklas Bendtner a run in the game. The Great Dane had a good game albeit playing for less than 15 minutes. He got a save from Rudy after a power shot. He contributed to the last goal, passing the ball to Rosicky who located Ramsey at the far post to set up Ozil’s second.

The Dane is looking sharper by the games. He is becoming the real Giroud deputy. If only he could flick like the Frenchman. His footwork is coming up and i believe he has been doing great in training. only time will tell.

Man of The Match: Olivier Giroud. 2 superb assists, the first would remain in history.

Enough for us to meet Dortmund. I just need 3 points. Shikena.
