6 premier league players were included in Felipe Scolari’s final 23 man squad to feature in the forthcoming Worldcup to be hosted by the Samba Boys.

The squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Toronto FC, on loan from QPR), Jefferson (Botafogo), Victor (Atletico Mineiro)

Defenders: Dani Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Roma), David Luiz (Chelsea), Thiago Silva (PSG), Dante (Bayern Munich), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Henrique (Napoli), Maxwell (PSG).

Midfield: Oscar (Chelsea), Fernandinho (Man City), Willian (Chelsea), Paulinho (Spurs), Ramires (Chelsea), Luis Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Hernanes (Inter Milan).

Attackers: Bernard (Shakhtar Donetsk), Neymar (Barcelona), Fred (Fluminense), Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg), Jo (Atletico Mineiro).

Notable names left out of the squad include former footballer of the year Kaka, Liverpool duo of Coutinho and Lucas Leiva, Spurs’ Sandro, PSG’s Lucas Mourra and Atletico Madrid duo of Miranda and Felipe Luis.

Others include Robinho and the Da Silva twins.

The Samba boys will play Croatia, Mexico and Cameroun in the group stages of the Worldcup.
