The 2014 English FA cup comes to a grand finale with Arsenal taking on Hull City with the odds favouring the North London side.
Arsenal’s last trophy was a penalty shootout win over Manchester United to lift the 2005 FA cup. The gunners have since gone trophyless losing three finals: a Champions league final against Barcelona and 2 League Cup finals to Chelsea and Birmingham.
The 2005 winning players have retired, left for greener pastures with Van Pierse the last to leave. A new generation of gunners are faced with the fate of starting a new dynasty.
The UEFA Champions league lost still lingers after series of unconverted chances and great defensive play. The League Cup to Mourinho’s Chelsea looks mild compared to the Birmingham City loss.
The gunners have been satisfied by a top4 finish ending a season of ifs, blaming the building of the Emirates as an excuse. The fans have been taunted by their rivals and life have seem unbearable.
While the plastic fans decamped to Barcelona and Manchester City of recent, the real gooners have held on hoping for that glorious day when the gunners will lift another trophy.
Mourinho added pepper to Arsenal’s injury by labelling Arsene Wenger a specialist in failure, the most classless act I have seen. The gunners will need to win this FA cup to shut Jose up.
An FA cup win will trigger a lot of positives just like rain fall in the Sahara. More trophies.
It will be good news for Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott, Nicklas Bendtner et al. Sagna can atleast leave with a medal.
In all, Wenger ll be the happiest.
Come on gunners. Beat Hull.
I hope we win. To start a dynasty one has to win. The last time we won was 2005. Let’s take it one step at a time win today and then focus on winning the EPL.
