There were recalls for Odion Ighalo, Victor Moses, and Mikel Obi. Ogenyi Onazi returns to team after missing gout of the Tanzania qualifier and Niger friendly due to suspension. Haruna Lukman was dropped and Kelechi Iheanacho was missed out. Only 5 players were picked from the Nigeria Premier League.
