Real Madrid booked a place in the UEFA Champions League final after a 1-0 aggregate win over Manchester City. The first leg ended 0-0 in Manchester but a deflected Gareth Bale shot gave Real Madrid the vital 1-0 victory to stage a Madrid Derby in the final in Milan.

Manchester City huffed and puffed but they could have been well beaten if Ronaldo was fitter and James Rodriguez didn’t slip towards the end of the game. Kelechi Iheanacho came on and failed to inspire the Citizens to a famous qualification. Aguero failed to take a shot on target – My FPL striker.

In the Nigerian Professional Football League, Enyimba FC travelled to Kano and grabbed an invaluable 3 points from Kano Pillars. The Elephants had not won away to Kano Pillars in over 18 years. Enyimba came from behind to earn a 2-1 victory. Rabiu Ali had given the host the lead in the 20th minute before Anaezemba equalized in the 51st minute. Ike ThankGod scored the winner 8 minutes from time to lift Enyimba out of the relegation zone.

Yours truly wrote a piece for ThatEnyimbaFan about Enyimba’s victory in Kano.

On some Arsenal matters, Alex Iwobi says he has Arsenal bloods in his veins and Wilshere agrees with him. I hope he is free from the injuries that had befallen other young Gunners.

Enjoy your day.
