Last night, ex-Super Eagles captain and Leicester City new boy Ahmed Musa was all over social media with his brace for the Foxes against Barcelona.
The record signing forward was subbed in at the beginning of the 2nd half but took about 2 minutes to add his name to the score sheet. The former Kano Pillars and CSKA Moscow forward took on a solo effort from the halfway line, evaded three Catalian defenders to bring the scoreline to 3-1.
Leicester City had been hammered 4-0 by PSG in their opening game of the ICC pre-season tourney but Musa made a statement for the English Champions. Musa got his second of the night before Leicester City lost 4-2 after full time.
Barcelona had Messi in the starting line up and Ahmed Musa just can’t stomach the Argentine forward. They last met in the 2014 World Cup where Nigeria lost 3-2 and Ahmed Musa scored both goals for the Super Eagles.
Last night, he may have been catalysed to get another brace against the Argentine in Barcelona colours. All Hail Lord Musa. His new teammates were impressed. Watch out for the Foxy no. 7. Time to add him in my Fantasy Premier League team.
Away from Musa, Enyimba failed to defeat Sunshine Stars in a rescheduled NPFL game. The match ended goalless and I think we can now say Enyimba cannot win the 2016 NPFL. They can now concentrate on winning the Federation Cup and *coughs* the CAF Champions League. Playing away from Aba has been so difficult.
In other stories, Rosicky is training with Arsenal, Ramsey and Alexis are back, and Walcott has made a U-turn on his wish to be a striker. There is Mustafi, Mahrez and Draxler in the transfer news. Vikings are not far away.
We are eagerly waiting for Dream Team to arrive the Olympics. Poor logistics.
Enjoy.
