The feeling is good at Ashburton Grove. Arsenal have signed the players they need for the season and look ready to compete after the international break. Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi was officially unveiled yesterday to round up Arsenal’s in-coming transfer deals.

You can’t make everybody happy and players have to move to balance the equation. Calum Chambers has gone on a year loan to Middlesborough. The England defender had to find his bearings following the arrival of Mustafi and the preference of Holding in Arsenal’s last two games. Ruthless Wenger?

Arsenal’s deadline day interest lies on two players – Serge Gnabry and Jack Wilshere. The former was adorned in Silver in the Rio Olympics and is believed to seek a move to the Bundesliga. Gnabry has just a year left on his contract and Goonerdaily has compiled some comments from Gooners around the world regarding the situation. Will Gnabry see off his final year? Will he sign a new contract or will he be sold today? 11:59pm is not far.

Jack Wilshere seeks a loan move away from Arsenal for regular football action. It is believed that about 22 clubs indicated interest including Juventus. It seems Wilshere would prefer to stay in England and preferably London. Will it be Crystal Palace or Bournemouth? With Xhaka, Cazorla, El Neny, Ozil, Coquelin and Ramsey, there seems to be no space and time for experiments in Wenger’s line up this season. Hopefully he stays away from injuries.

Wenger should be chilling now with no tension. He didn’t need an 8-2 defeat to go shopping nor can you ascribe recent signings to the 7 goal thriller with Liverpool. He has finished shopping for the period and maybe for the season. He shouldn’t be bothered about deadline day. He will be more bothered about how he gets his team to win at least a trophy the season. Which of the trophies will he win?

There is a game today at the Emirates for the legends but there will be no Henry and Viera. One is on official duties with Belgium, the other is still suckling at not being offered a role at Arsenal.

In Nigeria, there are three rescheduled games in the NPFL and they all have title contenders in action. Wikki Tourists will host Lobi Stars, Rangers host MFM FC and Warri Wolves host Enyimba. Rohr is in town on his first assignment with the Super Eagles against Tanzania. Nothing less than a victory is required.

Will there be another Odemwingie drama today? Who needs the deadline day most?
