The 2016 Beach Soccer AFCON has reached the business end. Tonight, we would know who represents Africa in the World Cup in Bahamas.

On Thursday, the group stages were rounded up and Nigeria fought to the top of the table after a hard-earned difficult 4-3 win over Ghana. Egypt secured 2nd spot in group A after an emphatic 4-2 win over Côte d’Ivoire.

Defending champions, Madagascar lost 2-1 to Morocco, thus finishing 3rd. Senegal walloped Libya 10-2 to secure top spot in Group B. Morocco emerged 2nd.

Action returns to the beach this evening starting with the losers play-off for the overall 5th spot. Côte d’Ivoire will play Libya while Madagascar will play Ghana. The winners will fight for 5th spot while the losers will fight for 7th spot. Can Libya get their 1st ever victory in the tournament?

The real semifinals starts with Senegal taking on Egypt while Nigeria will play Morocco in the last match of the day. Will Nigeria make the last two? They have not been convincing.

The finals (1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th) will hold on Sunday.
