The demands of being a design engineer took its toil on me last night – I had to leave the office late and thanks to Google Map navigated away from the traffic spots and saved myself an hour of jam. But I couldn’t watch the game in Paris.

The Champions League returned last night with the knockout phases in Paris and Benfica. When the fixtures were released late last year, everyone expected Barcelona to run over PSG. Alas, you may need to rethink.

Last night, PSG had no mercy and thrashed Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg played in Paris. Goals from Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler and Edison Cavani gave the Parisians one foot and more into the quarter final of the Champions League.

The trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar could not conjure the regular MSN magic. They were stunned. They need a miracle at Nou Camp to turn this around. Is it possible? Will PSG concede 4 in Spain? Don’t you just like football? Is this a year of the underdogs?

Borussia Dortmund missed a penalty and thus lost 1-0 to Benfica. Aubemayeng was the culprit. Since returning from his homeland in the AFCON, I don’t think he has scored for Dortmund. Time to querry his villagers.

Tonight, there will be no mercy at the Allianz Arena as Bayern Munich host Arsenal. Can the Gunners upset Bayern? Bayern have always been their nemesis in the Champions League. Can they defy the odds?

Tonight is not far away. I can’t miss it. You can enjoy the love from Paris (4-0) till then.
