A goal chalked off and a penalty denied, Wembley had Manchester City and Arsenal fight for the remaining slot to return to the stadium for the 2017 FA Cup Final. Chelsea had trounced Tottenham 4-2 despite allowing Tottenham come from behind twice to level at 2-2 in the game.

While Matic’s goal wrapped up Tottenham’s misery and added fire to Conte’s quest to win a double this season, Arsenal needed extra time to see of Pep’s Manchester City. Wenger retained his newly found 3-4-3 lineup but were the 2nd best side in the first half of the game. Against the run of play in the second half, Sergio Aguero put City in front from a quick counter attack. Cech could have done better as he was lobbed over. Bring Back Sczesny?

Arsenal continued to press and eventually got their equalizer thanks to Nacho Monreal. His last two goals for Arsenal have now come against Manchester City in FA Cup games and assisted by Oxlade-Chamberlain. In extra time, Sanchez grabbed the winner to put Arsenal through to the final.

So Pep ends his first season in English football without a trophy and Wenger has the opportunity to win his 7th FA Cup title – a record. But he will have to see off Chelsea in the final. Tick Tock Tick. Have the Gunners’ turned the corner? Will this filter down to the league games?

The race for Top Four will continue in midweek and Leicester City stand in the way of the Gunners. Over the weekend, Manchester United, without Zlatan, took all three points from Turf Moor. Heaton could not keep out Rooney or Martial. A 2-0 victory draws Mourinho’s Devils closer to the Champions League spots although they have the chance of getting to the Champions League if they win the Europa League. They are in the Semis.

Liverpool (the Robin Hood of the Premier League) fell to Big Sam’s Crystal Palace and Christian Benteke gave me some FPL points with his brace. Will he do it again against Tottenham? Everton were held 0-0 at Westham. With three games in hand, Arsenal are 7th with 57 points, 9 points behond third place Liverpool. Arsenal have to win all of those three games to achieve any top four position.

And I had an eye on the El Classico last night where Lionel Messi grabbed his 500th goal for Barcelona which was the decider in the entertaining encounter at the Bernabeu. Messi goal came in the 90th minute after Rodriguez seem to have earned a point for Real Madrid. Messi celebration was so exceptional. Isn’t he the GOAT?

The Awards came pouring in last night and Ngolo Kante is the PFA Player of the Year. Surprised? Dele Alli is the young player of the year. Could he have featured for Nigeria? Spilled milk, no need to cry. Congratulations to the winners of the PFA Awards.

I have to run along. Catch you later.
