Nacho Monreal’s 86th minute deflected shot gave Arsenal a 1-0 win over Leicester City at the Emirates last night. After the victory in the FA Cup semifinal over Manchester City, the Gunners shifted focus to the Premier League and the quest to finish in Champions League places.

Arsenal’s hopes of reaching the FA Cup final took the turn when Monreal smashed in Chamberlain’s early cross. Last night, Monreal saved Arsenal from falling behind the Top Four chasing pack after his shot, initially going wide, took a deflection of Robert Huth and sailed into the Foxes net.

The three points moved Arsenal from 7th to 6th with 60 points from 32 games. The Gunners are now 4 points behind Manchester City and 6 points behind Liverpool (3rd) who have played two games more. Tonight, Manchester United and Manchester City will slug it out and I wonder which results will be the best for Arsenal. We will go again next Wednesday but the North London Derby is next at White Hart Lane. It is a must win for the Gunners. No excuses. Will Kane score again? thinking of drafting him into my FPL team.

Less I forget, what was that Sanchez was doing on the flow hit by a throw-in he blocked? Rivaldo-esque. And look at the jubilation within the team after the goal. It surely means a lot to them and me. Coquelin and his “ginger

See you later.
