A late Alexis Sanchez penalty gave Arsenal a 1-0 win over plucky Burnley at Turf Moor. It was a hard fought victory for the Gunners and we would take three quick lessons.
Back To Top Four
Liverpool and Tottenham could only manage a point each over the weekend and thus Arsenal knew a win would put them above the two teams. It was looking like a bleak day until Ramsey was shoved in the box for a penalty in the 92nd minute. Alexis held his nerve and drilled it pass Pope.
Arsenal return to their familiar spot but would they remain in the top four? Can they move higher? There is United waiting at the weekend.
Difficult To Unlock – Need Ozil?
Ozil missed the trip and Arsenal laboured to open up Burnley. The home side were so organized that a magician like Ozil was needed. Iwobi did his part to create some magic but he was subbed off for Wilshere who didn’t fare like Ozil.
With Huddersfield coming from a heartbreak loss to leaders Manchester City, Arsenal will need Ozil’s magic against the newbies.
Clean Sheet and Three
Mustafi made it to as many team of the week as possible with his display at Turf Moor. He would lap the praise alongside Monreal and Koscienly. The trio are yet to concede a goal this season when they play together. How far can they go?
