England and Italy will battle at Wembley at the final of the EURO2020. While the English fan have filled the air with “It’s coming home”, those irritated by the English media are hoping it goes to Rome. Will it be Home or Rome?

Arsenal’s Saka has been a very important player for the Three Lions. He had a hand in England’s equalizer in the semi final and he is loved by the team. There have been various testimonies by members of the Three Lions.

To those that took on Tammy Abraham for choosing the Three Lions over the Super Eagles, you can’t fault Saka for making same choice. He is having the tournament of his life and Nigeria may have not given him such opportunity.

Bukayo Saka applauded by England Coach Gareth Southgate

Arsenal may have had a poor season but seeing Saka blossom for the England National Team looks like a win from last season. I mean, a new season is here. The Arsenal players are back to base, preparing a new season – without European football. Do I have to remind you of Arsenal’s poor 2020/21 season?

Well, Arteta is still here but we have added 2 more players to the first team. First Arthur Okonkwo signed a new deal and has been promoted to the first team. Okonkwo who joined Arsenal at 7 will wear jersey #33. Okonkwo is born to Nigerian parents. Will the NFF throw the Super Eagles cookie to him?

Arthur Okonkwo

Seems the 19-year old will be our third goalie for the new season. Will Leno stay? Will Ryan return? What of Macey? What of Onana? Too many questions about the goal keeping department.

The second player is Nuno Tavares who joined from Benfica. The 21-year old is a left back and is expected to deputize for Kieran Tierney. How old is Kieran? He is just 24 years old. We missed him in some games last season. Granit Xhaka had to be deployed at the left side of the defense to help the team.

Nuno Tavares

Speaking of Granit Xhaka – he had a good EURO2020 but is believed to be on his way to Rome to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma. Arsenal needs a replacement.

The preseason begins in 3 days time. The Gunners travel to Edinburg to face Hibernian in their first pre-season match before facing Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium. I wonder what happened to the traditional pre-season opener against Barnet FC.

As you can see, a new season is here. Time to get ready for Home or Rome before setting up my FPL team for the season.

Ciao,
