15 days of the transfer window has gone with 16 days left to get Wenger’s “one or two” signing. While we salivate for big matured fishes to be added to the fry, we have let some lesser fishes out to find more swimming time or a new pond entirely.
Podolski was sent on loan few hours after the windows were opened. Sanogo has now joined Crystal Palace till the end of the season. He has Chamakh, Puncheon and those Eagles to fight. Hopefully he comes home stronger like Wilshere after his Bolton loan.
Benik Afobe was on loan to MK Dons and he painted the lower leagues with goals: 19 goals in as many games. The goals had me thinking and hoping he breaks into the 1st team when he returns. But the lad has now joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal. How many strikers have broken through the Arsenal ranks? Aladiere? Bendtner? Simpson? JET? Akpom?
A certain Beilik is coming in from Poland and is expected to under medicals this week. Is he the DM we all clamoured for? I hear he is the future Vieira or Matic. Are we not tired of “future” players. How Beilik will boss the midfield will be a movie i will love to watch with 3D glasses.
The transfer fishing has been dull but Injury FC have loaned two Arsenal players for 3 months. Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy will be out for 3 months. The former had a set back while the later had a shoulder injury from stoke. An opportunity for Coquelin and Bellerin. Is there a need to recall Jenkinson? Would you prefer Chambers to Bellerin at right back?
All these comes before the game against Manchester City. I have just 2 wishes: keep a clean sheet and come out of Etihad with 3 points. Their defence is not great and Hart is ordinary. Aguero is back though but so is kos. Will Szczesny return between the sticks?
Sunday looks far but it draws near. Hopefully we continue our rice to the top at the Etihad.
Enjoy.
